Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst at KBC, you will revitalize our financial record keeping and bring organization to our day to day financials along with supporting all employees in the company through collaboration, commitment, accountability and ownership of objectives to deliver upon an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities: This position is responsible for providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing reports, managing expenses and processing of accounts payable and receivables.

  • Ensure data integrity across all financial record-keeping systems and accurately preparing reports as requested.
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures and complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
  • Process all financial transactions, ensuring correct coding and documentation into financial systems.
  • Prepare, analyze and report upon financial variances and inaccuracies across all financial transactions including commissions, expenses, travel reimbursements, billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
  • Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis.
  • Create action plans to meet objectives and schedules, working closely with team to ensure appropriate and timely follow-up.
  • Aggregate data from multiple sources to create a complete analysis, improvement and/or recommendation(s).
  • Ensure deadlines are met and escalate if deadlines are in jeopardy.
  • Review the accuracy of information provided and respond to requests.
  • Perform complex ad hoc projects, as requested by brokerage team.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong written and verbal skills. Positive, innovative approach to problem solving. Able to present ideas in a clear, understandable and organized manner; negotiate, and modify opinion to reach the objectives of the team / client.

  • Prior Finance, A/P and bookkeeping experience with expertise with QuickBooks and SaaS companies.
  • Exceptional organizational skills in database management, ability to organize/prioritize departmental projects, and demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate within and between departments.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and to cope with shifting priorities, difficult situations and deadlines.
  • Detail oriented and a strong communicator that can work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to reflect on own work as well as the wider consequences of financial decisions.
  • Aptitude to solve problems and navigate through obstacles.
  • Demonstrated interest in a career in the real estate industry.

Education and Experience: A Finance degree and 3 years of equivalent work experience required, expert level in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and working knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
