John Hanson

John Hanson has been involved in successful capital acquisition, lease, and sale transactions totaling a value of over $15B in total consideration during his career. He has empirically driven 20% to 30% operating cost savings to his clients, involving over 600 separate projects, and totaling over 100 million square feet. Prior to founding KBC Advisors, John held executive roles at Trammell Crow Company and Cushman & Wakefield Commerce. During his career, he has managed complex transactions for prominent corporate and institutional clients throughout the Seattle region, nationally, and abroad. John’s primary expertise as of late has focused on e-commerce. However, he has also been instrumental in the formulation and implementation of real estate strategies focused on cost initiatives and effective portfolio management. In addition, John has managed strategic site selection, incentive negotiations, and Foreign Trade Zone initiatives for a wide array of complex projects. On a personal level, John enjoys avoiding balls getting thrown at him unexpectedly around the house and picking up dirty clothes associated with his three boys – Cole, Cam and Kellen. He also enjoys searching for golf balls that are typically hit out of bounds or listening intently to instructions given to him by his wife, Piper, about where he needs to be next for one of the boys' activities.
